How to use
- Monthly basic + DA.
- Employee percent, default 12.
- Employer percent, default 12. Some of that may be EPS in the real world.
One example
Basic 25,000. Employee PF 3,000. Employer 3,000. Your slip is lighter by 3,000. CTC still counts the employer bit.
Common mistakes
- Taking 12 percent of CTC. It is on basic, not full CTC.
- Thinking employer PF hits your bank this month.
- Ignoring the 15,000 wage ceiling if your company still uses it for some staff.
FAQs
- Is employer PF in take-home?
- No. It sits in the PF account.
- EPS split?
- This box keeps employer as one number. EPFO splits a part to pension.
- VPF?
- Raise the employee percent if you put extra.
- Why is my PF 1,800?
- Some payrolls cap PF on 15,000 basic. 12% of 15,000 is 1,800.
